Jamie and Rufus is a book intended to introduce belief and inspire faith in the REALITY of the unseen Kingdom of Heaven. Though it is appropriate for all ages, it was geared to engage the hearts and minds of middle school aged children.
Inspired by real relationships and conversations within my own family -- this tale witnesses the main character, Jamie, struggling with relevant issues of sibling rivalry, public school life, and a mother who is always asking him to remember that his faith is about a REAL God and true battles in the surrounding unseen world -- not just a fictional tale he must endure.
Readers will enter Jamie's world through this story, told in his voice, as he battles a particularly rough day while encountering "strange happenings" that suggest he is not as alone as he once believed. These happenings have the potential to change Jamie's life forever while offering the reader the same opportunity of opening their eyes to the unseen help for the journey that has been present their entire life.
